Talent Highlight: Estelle Slootmaker

Estelle Slootmaker works on our State of Health, MI Mental Health, Early Education Matters, Autism Association of Michigan, and Block by Block series.

A working writer with more than 30 years of professional writing, editing, and journalism experience. Estelle Slootmaker has focused on the health care, wellness, arts, nonprofit, business, environmental, and social justice sectors. Her past clients include 20+ years with The Grand Rapids Press and many local and regional Michigan magazines. She also served as an adjunct professor of English at Aquinas College for four years.

Estelle lives in Wyoming with her guitar-pickin’/artist husband, Eddie Killowatts, and their Rustralian terriers, Bindi and Skipper. She and Eddie are collaborating on their first children’s book.
